A new Protocol on cooperation and exchanges between the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Bulgaria has been signed, which defines the main directions of cooperation for the next 4 years.
The signing ceremony took place with the participation of the Ministers of Education of both countries - Oxen Lisov and Galin Tsokova. The meeting was also attended by Chargé d'Affaires of Bulgaria to Ukraine Mykola Nankov and Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Bulgaria Olesya Ilashchuk.
According to the document, cooperation between Ukraine and Bulgaria will cover several important areas:

academic mobility of students and scientists

exchanges and professional development of teachers

support for students of national minorities and ensuring their right to study their native language at all educational levels in communal secondary general education institutions of both countries

cooperation between higher education institutions within the framework of European programs such as "Erasmus+", "Horizon Europe".
The importance of supporting the study of the Ukrainian and Bulgarian languages, as well as organizing teacher training was separately emphasized.
This new Protocol replaces the previous one, which was valid until 2024, and will contribute to the further development of bilateral cooperation in the field of education and science between Ukraine and Bulgaria.
